    Finally caught Monarch!

I just discovered that the local PBS station is carrying Monarch of the Glen. Karen and I just watched our first episode of it, what a fantastic show! It was interesting seeing the various casual styles Duncan had with his kilt. It looks like we've found another show to watch every Sunday.

I really enjoyed it but sadly our PBS station rotated it out of the line up. I like it when they play the pipes on the show.

    Holy nightmares, Batman!! :o :o :o

I think that the license my PBS station bought is coming to a close pretty soon too. I emailed the guy in charge of that stuff, and he told me that they paid the BBC $300 for every episode, and only have the rights to air it twice. Hoooray for DVD!!

I have only seen it on DVD, it is always broadcast at times that I am unable to watch. I agree, it is so cool to see Duncan so casual in his kilt wearing

I don't know what series it would be. The episode revolved around problems with the castle and Archie trying to come up with 100K to fix the foundation.

If you get Comcast cable in Maryland, hit Philadelhia's channel 35. They have it! So does channel 39 out of Allentown.

    Monarch...

I had to request that our local public library buy the first 2 seasons on DVD -- fortunately, being a former employee of said public library still has some perks, as far as requesting items for purchase! 8) The last time I checked the DVD's had arrived and were being processed -- and I'm the first (and only) person on the hold list!

Our local PBS station runs the same "Britcoms" over and over again -- "Are you Being Served?", "Keeping up Appearances", etc. I've tried to get them to run "Dad's Army", "The Vicar of Dibley", and other shows, like the FANTASTIC RAF WWII drama "Piece of Cake", but to no avail.

    Cheers,

    T.
