Naw, divorce is not an option. When I said 'til death do us part, I meant it-the only way out of this marriage is feet first! Sorry Pleater, maybe in another life.

No, the Acrili-Beast, like all of its kind, is color blind.

I keep trying to take another picture of this fabric in different light, with and without the flash, but it always comes out pink. Honestly, it is maroon, but I'm not sure we'll ever be able to prove it with our camera. Maybe at the next kilt night we are able to attend, w2f can take a picture.

Last night, I sewed down the edges of the outer pleats, and today, I'm going to attach the over apron strip, sew down the edges of the apron, iron it and try to get a start on sewing the inner pleats and tapering. I was hoping to finish for his birthday tomorrow, but that is unlikely. It will be finished in time for our vacation and he said he'll be wearing it on the plane to Portland. We'll see.

    Be well,

Proving once again that the camera does not see the world the way our eyes do. Now imagine your responsible for shooting catalog photos for a big client... "I gave you a maroon blazer NOT a pink blazer!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Sorry for the hijack!

I am not totally convinced that the exact shade of red variant, be it maroon or pink, is really going to be an issue. If F.H.C.A.G. crafts the kilt and Panache wears it the effect can reasonably be expected to range between impressive and stunning.

Awaiting pics with confidence in the construction and presentation.

Now the one I am going to make for my neighbor this weekend..... well we will just have to wait and see. Couldn't locate any maroon twill, so had to go with blue canvas...

Me, and my beat up, broken down, old camera are at your service. (Maybe she's just hoping it will record the color as maroon. )

(*squawk*hiss* this is a test... it is only a test... "This is a test of the homeland security color-coded threat level system. We have been upgraded from pink to maroon. All passengers are advised to be cautious [or suspicious, even paranoid] when observing persons dressing differently for no apparent reason,... other than race, origin, sexual orientation, religion, etc. Please keep a jaundiced eye on such person, and provide him a wide berth, lest some of his sensibilities, or lack thereof, concerning stylish color coordination rub off. Please help us at Big Brother Central contain such threats to the most localized level possible and prevent, to some extent, loss of sight, sanity, and whatever else you value."

Isn't there an old adage somewhere that says in a nutshell that the camera never lies and human eyes can be blinded by bright pink kilting material?

I made the same vow.....Now I have to worry that at some point I will be carried out of the house feet first.... and even perhaps laid to rest in a PINK (ahem...maroon) Coffin.
