Pink tartan kilt?
As I mentioned in this thread, I went to Wal-Mart to get some fabric for my daughter's kilts. While I was there, I checked the clearance rack and found this "tartan" (maybe more tart than tartan!), fabric. It appears to be a wool blend, but I am no expert. There was 7 yards of it double width. I decided to pick it up and make my wife a kilt. If she decides she does not want one, I will see if anyone here wants one, or maybe the material for some other purpose. It has a nice size sett, good weight and will be an inexpensive way to play with a tartan material. What do you think?

I'm afraid that I can't use it, but it would make about six or seven mini-kilts wouldn't it?
It don't mean a thing, if you aint got that swing!!

I'd have to say it would take a really brave man to wear a pink tartan kilt!
Of course, now I have the horrible nightmarish mental image of a guy my size wearing one!

I'm brave enough for a kilt, but not quite brave enough for a pink kilt.

Its the colours of a Menzies tartan but the pattern appears to have been simplified.

...if the kilt falls through, you could always use it for kitchen curtains...

I'm brave enough to wear that as a kilt... I'd even strole through downtown Greenville.
Trust me, it is not like it could be any worse than the typical experiences around here. All you can do is puff your chest out, tilt your head up, and strut your stuff.
