I wear a kilt, that is not a kilt so I won't wear it
I think Howie has done as good a job as anyone in stretching the concept of what a kilt is. Personally I much prefer most of his creations to many others like the Utilitkilt (no offence meant, I just don't like them). I'm sure it will appeal to some but personally I think it looks daft.

I personally think it would be great for winter and/or windy days. Well, that and I think it would be nice to not have to worry about ever "answering the question."
A picture of the garment in question can be seen here: http://www.21stcenturykilts.com/fulllength.htm
What do you think guys?

(Not that I'm intolerant or anything like that.............) But it just doesn't look dashing.
Besides, I wear my Thrifty Kilt under my Cassock.

Ah, I don't like it. I don't care if guys want to wear it, but it wasn't comfort that drew me to the kilt in the first place. It was tradition. And wanting to identify with me British heritage (whatever that means). So, no. I will not be wearing something that looks like a dress. And that is a dress.
Peace.

Would I wear it? no.
Do I call it a kilt? yes!
I also call Utilikilts kilts.
If the maker calls it a kilt so be it.
I just don't have to purchase it.

But its WARM in the winter...
