Here is my Tilley. I have turned my house upside-down today, looking for it. I hope that I didn't leave it on Maui in January. I think it is the very-large-brim T2 version, although looking at this picture, the brim does not seem as big as when I first tried it on.

Why do I wear it pushed back? Watch "Murphy's Romance."

If kilts are just clothing, instead of a costume, what difference does it make what you wear. We don't agonise over what to wear with jeans!

Was in the Bass Pro at Richmond this afternoon. They had a good hat, canvas brim and top with sturdy mesh between. Around $25 if I remember. I tried it on and found it comfortable at the moment. No idea how it would break in. Seems to split the difference between the Tilley and the Filson at a better "price point" than either.

Yeah, you have to pay for quality. Or the name?
    Or maybe not.
I’d rather wear out three $25 hats than one $75 hat.

I wear a straw wide brim hat when working outdoors in the summer and a nice charcoal fedora in cooler weather

From Watership Trading Companie. 100% Hemp (actually resembles coarse linen), and is more of a natural color, not as bright white as it appaers. It's about 1.25" wider at the front and back, and the crown is made of a loose weave that facilitates breathing.
