Well, gents. It's all over. I'm not upset that Spain won, as I don't dislike them, but would've been far happier had Holland gone the distance.

The game was ugly. Just about every Dutch player got a yellow card, and no one could seem to find the net until the very end of overtime. On the other side of the pitch, Spain was perfecting their diving technique -- it wasn't excessive but it was certainly obvious when they did. Horrible acting, boys. Need to take a drama class.

So now, having watched 64 games in 1 month, I'm all soccered out. I'll be ready to see some NFL soon just for something different.

One last thought: Can we finally make Paul into a Paella now?

I agree that Netherlands had some BAD hacks, but the Spanish... oh, my.

What a bunch of wilting lilies. I hear Iniesta is up for a best actor award for his work in this last game, AND (wait for it) he does ALL his own stunts.

I think the 'Iniesta dive' is probably why I prefer Bundesliga to most of the rest of Europe. It's rare that you see a German player (in league) swan-dive and then mug injury for the ref.
