It's a kilt Friday for me today! I am into my regular rotation of my Xmarks tartan kilt from Freedom Kilts and my Stewart Hunting from USA Kilts.

I am looking forward to adding my Cthulhu tartan kilt from Freedom Kilts to the mix, but it's into its third week in Customs!

Today I left work a little early (apparently along with a lot of other people) because of the snow in North Texas and got to have a kilted snowball fight with the boys. I realize this is barely a light dusting for many of you, but we're not used to it, and enjoy the powdery stuff we got today vs. the freezing rain and "thundersleet" that really messed up our roads recently. I also put in a couple of miles walking the dog around the neighborhood. My knees got a little chilled, but the Corgi regimental socks, American Heritage 8-yard wool USAK X-rental and layers on top kept me plenty warm overall.

Lookin' good man! Stay warm. Like the jacket with your kilt.

Just drove home (in a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon) in a snow storm. It was from my son's house, four doors down from our own. Believe it, or not, purely coincidental.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Not a good Kilted Friday for me. I piped, actually tried to pipe, for our monthly veterans ceremony, but my pipes didn't cooperate in the cold and rain. They worked great for a few tunes as people gathered for the ceremony, then came the epic fail during Amazing Grace. It was awful, they just quit working halfway through and I had no choice but to announce that my pipes were not working.

Yesterday for Kilted Friday, I too wore the XMTS tartan. My kilt was a Newsome single box pleat. It ended on a sweet note have a Kilt Night with sweetheart meeting up with XMarkers; Glasgow and Sir William.

    Kilted Friday Not

One of my residents, when paying her monthly assessment always wants to "make my day" by giving me a big hug. Today, not only did she bring her check but a few other residents to record the happiness.

    Those recording the happiness.

    Making my day!

Wasn't Friday today, but I wore my kilt out to meet my wife for lunch, then run some errands. I can still wear my USA Kilt, but it is really too big.

I got more positive comments and people who wanted to talk about kilts than ever. In the local Sprouts market, one of the stock clerks came by at high speed in a Utilikilt and slowed down long enough for a fist bump.
