You socialize?
I thought that was banned in Canada, due to the social diseases.

That is mostly banned for Grant anyways.

What do you mean by Immortal Memory?
Is this a drinking game?
Can I do it in Hooters?

The Immortal Memory Gentlemen, and I use the term loosely is usually something like this
The chairman, or designated speaker, delivers the Immortal Memory address. This should be a rather serious and careful consideration of the life and art of Robert Burns. It may be a general, biographical sort of speech, or may address a specific aspect of the Bard's work that is relevant to the particular group of assembled celebrants. This speech should be long-winded enough to remind the guests that this isn't the office Christmas party, yet not so long as to induce cramping, dry-mouth, or ringing in the ears (about 25 minutes). This speech always ends with standing guests, raised glasses and an offered toast to the immortal memory of the Bard of Ayr.

Who's Robert Burns? Who's the Bard of Ayr. Do I have to sit still for 25 whole minutes in one sitting or spread over a couple of days?

Scout I can get some evening programs done up for the evening, as I am the unofficial artist of the group. I was under the impression that cost was to be in the neighbourhood of $25.00 plus gratuity. Now we still need to get someone to do the Immortal Memory speech, and please guys no more jokes about this alright, I've had enough of it for one, and I am sure that some of our members are taking this seriously.
With that in mind if it is alright with all attendees I will take it upon myself to deliver the Immortal Memory speech. One other thing for all attending please be ready to recite at least one work from Burns, be it a song a poem whatever just bring something with you to share with the rest.

Aye, McMurdo. The Immortal Memory is yours and it is known throughout the land of SOKS, that it is in good hands.
Oh, tiny timorous forlorn beast,
Oh why the panic in your breast ?
You need not dart away in haste
To some corn-rick
I'd never run and chase thee,
With murdering stick...
...But, mousie, thou art not alane,
In proving foresight may be in vain,
The best laid schemes of mice and men,
Go oft astray,
And leave us nought but grief and pain,
To rend our day.
Are the other "speeches" and toasts assigned? The Twa Lands, the Toast to the Lassies...http://www.robertburns.org/suppers/itinerary.shtml
