Re: Where Do You Wear Your Kilt?

Anywhere and everywhere except when on my mountain bike, daily, or washing the car (once a year if it's lucky), but not all the time as I haven't enough of them.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

I have a lot of kilts - I wear them all the time. Which one depends on what I am doing. Fancy dress - I wear the full regalia with a traditional 16 oz. Wood working - I wear a cargill style utility kilt. Round town I wear one of my Freedom Kilts. I love em.

Re: Where Do You Wear Your Kilt?

My workplace is impossible, as I design and inspect military and research-grade optics. (I have to wear a bunny suit all day!) But, outside? Any chance I get! My wife is a devoted fan of the kilt, and the suits I own haven't touched skin since I took delivery of my first kilt.

It is a garment, and one with a long and historic past, but so are pants, saris, robes, etc.. Wear it, wear it proud, and don't look to others for validation on your clothing choices.

Sorry if I am grumpy, but man up and wear the kilt. or don't, but don't expect us to provide justification. This is your first post, and you ask the question that should already be clear in your mind before you put a kilt on, don't ask us to provide the balls for you to wear one.
Amen Brother ! not to offend any one. i just think he has a point about not caring what others think

I wear mine out with friends, to celebrations/festivals/parades, hiking/fossil hunting and occasionally to school.

Re: Where Do You Wear Your Kilt?

I wear mine all the time outside of work, save special occasions. I am,however, looking forward to being kilted at the season opening night for the Long Beach Symphony Orchestra on Saturday. We were subscribers last year and I got a lot of positive comments. My most memorable was when a man, who at first I suspected was following me for unknown reasons, tapped me on the shoulder in the gents and in a thick Scottish accent told me how pleased he was with my attire. Made quite a scene of it. Even better was his happiness was in no way diminished when I told him my family was deep rooted in Moycullen, County Galway.
