It's a kilt Friday for me! XMTS Freedom Kilt.
I work from home almost all the time. It's been over a year since I have been to my firm's office. I went in yesterday for a meeting. A new co-worker introduced herself and mentioned having met my boss earlier this week. "He told me not to be surprised if you showed up in a kilt.", she said.
I am actually glad that I wasn't kilted yesterday because a cheeseburger landed in my lap at lunchtime.

I know Chicago is called the "Windy City" but did not know it was known for flying cheeseburgers! Surely a sporran would have provided better protection than trousers (sorry, pants, your side of the pond.)
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

Our division was sold and divested out of the parent company, so yesterday was my last kilted-at-the-office day.
The good news is we kept our jobs with the new company, and I'm now working from home full-time.
Bit of a melancholy day after 21 years going to the office... but I won't miss the 18 hours a week spent commuting!

All in all, that sounds like good news to me. I`m sure you will adapt quickly to not having to leave the house!

Working from home would be great. Congrats!
Nothing exciting for my Kilted Friday, just sunshine and a nice day.

So today, I am kilted in one of my USA Kilts casuals in Malcolm modern tartan. One of the ladies where I work saw me distributing in the mailroom our weekly bulletin and said, "so you're in your ancestral attire, it must be Friday". Aye lass, I replied. She then shared she must make to Scotland and of course I encouraged her to do so.
Tonight, my lass and I head to one of the Irish pubs downtown to hear one of our local Celtic bands. A good way to end the week.

I had to enter one of our rentals today for an inspection, and when the door opened, the tenant immediately said "Dude, that's a sick kilt! I want one!"
We chatted a bit and I told him about the rabble.
