One day I was bitten by the sudden desire to wear a kilt. Dont know where it came from or why. (Might help to have some Scottish blood in me). I was searching the internet for hours looking for info and before I found xmarks i bought an ebay special. . . . . Upon more searching xmarks came up. I lurked for a bit but then decided to join because it seemed like fun. Now I am an addict. . . . . . suppose there are worse things to be addicted to!

It was very nice, thank you.
I had been wearing kilts to a greater or lesser extent for many years. I wanted to see how widespread the MIK thing was and so on to the internet. I actually came across the site via Tom's Cafe, which at the time had a significant number of kilters, including the Chef de Kilt - Hamish. Some years ago I left the cafe (RIP Tom) and just stayed with X Marks as it seemed to fit in better with my lifestyle and outlook.
So, thank a million to the guys who keep this place running and to all of ye who put up wi ` ma bletherings!

l found it from spying on David (Freelander) while he was home on hoilday, l was curious as to why he was on my PC late in the evenings. When he went home l was addicted, looked in every day. l Joined the PUB first on 18-2-06 & XMarks on the 10-7-2007.

I was doing research to improve the design on how I make kilts, I found Matt Newsome's site and found the link there.

Leaving Scotland in '04 at the Glasgow airport. I picked up a 'Saltire' T-shirt. At Gradfather's Mountain Games last summer at one of the vendors (Clan Mac Bubba?)I spied a sweater n the similar 'Saltire' motiff, but in closer inspection saw X Marks the Scot along the Cross. Googling it when I got home, I was lead here and haven't left!
