Definitely no "reconditioning and reusing" of my bag...but it has 8 working snaps and the cantle is in near mint condition...so that's all that matters. Ordered some black and red leather last night on ebay for a great price...will post pics when I have time and get around to making bag #1.

May I ask who has been tasked with plating your brass cantle? Will it be silver plate? Just curious of the process, Harold.

I was watching the third episode of Queen and Country on PBS last night, and noticed many of the Scottish Regiments shown in various colour film reels during the 1950's, wearing their issued MoD sporrans. They looked very smart; gleaming white with the silver, Regimental badge affixed to the bag and brass cantles shining in the sunlight!
