Chicago Rabble - save the date
Chicago rabble,
A few of us have agreed in another thread that it's time for a kilt night. I propose Saturday, 17 October. Who would like to choose a location?

I'm way out in lake in the hills, so my selections would be typically out where I'm familliar with, I've recently heard about McGonigals pub in Barrington.... Not been yet but it's on my radar.
On a similar note.... I would like to suggest that we try and make it a monthly thing, given that most holidays fall in the beginning or the end of the month, how about having a kilt night every second Saturday of the month? This shouldn't get in the way of many "getaway weekends" or family gatherings. And we could all try and keep that evening free.

I am wholly in favor of a monthly gathering. No matter where we have it, we are pretty spread out so it's bound to be tough for someone to make it.
Places along the Elmhurst Pub Crawl are bound to be kilt-friendly. Maybe somewhere in that area?

That would be a good road/boat trip. But the duke of Perth chicago is more likely my destination.

I am still trying to clear my schedule for the 17th. Is this still the date? And does anyone have a recommendation on where to go? I have been investigating, with no success.

Any place along the Elmhurst pub crawl strike your fancy as a place for a Kilt Night on 17 October?

I realize it is early for this get together, but I will be in town for business 10/6 - 10/9 in the Schaumburg area. There is a Tilted Kilt in that area if anybody is interested in a meet up, although work bosses have first call on my evenings
