Apparently the photo the Daily Mail ran of Argyll ans Sutherland Highlanders with the Queen was retouched. The unretouched photo is here: http://www.snopes.com/photos/risque/queen.asp
Understandable that it was "doctored". The story with it is worth a read.

i believe that it was a faker from webspace adding the wiener. that looks unreal to me

The one in the paper looks a bit unreal to me as well. I imagine it had been retouched for publication. Whether the picture on Snopes is the real original is another question.

The one with the missing tartan trout is the photoshop. The one with the tartan trout is most certianly real. Some folks in other places I hang out are photoshop pros. The second picture, sans jewels, has a pixelated shadow layer added as well as a smudge tool gradient pixelation.
