Pics of Burgundy Leather R Kilt
I have posted 4 pics of the burgundy leather kilt in my gallery. This is on a dressmakers judy so it ain't perfect. Also keep in mind that this kilt was built for a 6'4" tall skinny dude so it's extra long. The flash wiped out a bit of the richness of the colour as it is actually a deeper red. All pleats were top stitched in contrasting black thread, with black leather straps and accents complete with nikel plate hardware and rivets.
This is a 6 yd leather kilt with 20 main pleats 4cm wide that taper to 3.6cm at the waist. 2 Cargo pockets with coin pockets inside as well as pockets on the outside of the main cargo pocket. There is also a full inner apron as well as a 7/8 front apron. Traditional three strap closure. Straps are thick 8oz bridal leather edge stitched for function as well as looks.
The main kilt is constructed out of 2.25/oz fully tanned cowhide. (1.5 cows made this kilt possible)
Cheers
Robert

Who you calling a 6'4 skinny dude?
On this side of the pond 14 stone (oh lord Americans wont know stone)um....fingers....toes...14 x 14...calculator....****, need batteries....abacus....196 pounds...damn, Europeans wont know pounds....um,kilos...divide pounds by 2.2 to give....brain explodes...89.0909090909090909090909 kilos is just perfectly hunky and average. On your side of the pond 196 is akin to fresh out of Belsen.
Anyways I look damned gorgeous in it. Wore it to The Darkness concert last night at the MEN in M'cr. Sadly no groping this time (damn). Kill your granny or sell your soul to get a ticket for The Darkness. Ive never laughed so much in a concert before. They are just sooooooo good and the chit chat between songs was a riot.

Waitaminute ... didn't Rene Zellweiger have to gain weight to play Bridget Jones?
Are you sure you're not just buying into a stereotype here? If not, there's no telling where this thread might go. Anyone up for a discussion of dentistry?
[CRICKETS: Chirp ... chirp ... chirp ...]
Thought not. Okay then.

Ok I'll take the blame for this... but did I see mention cricket? imagine a cricket team in white kilts...pleats a flappin as the bowler hurls the ball at the batsman...hmmm we have a team here in Stratford wonderin' if new uniforms are in order.
Kiltbear for my hieght of 6'2" I should be the same weight as you alas I'm not. A couple of stone heavier I'm afraid...it's the drugs...
off to the sweat shop.... I seem to recall I have to build a blue leather kilt for a tall somewhat skinny dude! 8)

The Darkness! Geez Kiltbear, you're making me jealous. First, you get to see Madonna, and now the Darkness!
That's one nice looking kilt.

HOLY SCHNIKEYS!
That thing would be a friggin' dress on me!!!
Robert, the work looks OUTSTANDING (as always) and is a great testament to your ability to customize. I would imagine that your back is aching after leaning over to sew that baby up! I have to admit too that the color and the leather are wonderful. The highlighting with the thread and the rivets is great.
Somewhere, there's one-and-a-half burgundy cows running naked through the pastures so that Kiltbear can go "styling"!!!

I wont mention Anastasia, Maroon 5 , Duran Duran, or Simon & Garfunkel then. Hehehehehehe.
No point mentioning Scissor Sisters, Rasmus, Keane or Snow Patrol cos I dont they are big in the US yet.
They should be tho. All concerts mentioned I attended suitably kilted natch.
I cant believe Im the same size as one and a half cows.
They look mighty big F***ers close up to me.
