For the life of me I can't figure out how to make the quote button work...everyone else seems to get it. I can't find the info on it....
Same for all the other buttons B, i, u, Code, list, list+, Img, URL....feel really stupido
Thanks for any help...

Copy the text or URL of an image or website. Click the Quote, Image or URL button. This will place a start marker. Paste in the text or URL to the image or website. Click the button again. This will place a stop marker (same marker but with a "/") at the end of the text or URL.
Or, you can paste in the text or URL, select it and push the button once. This will place the appropriate marker at the beginning and end of the text or URL.
Selecting text and pushing the "B", "i", or "u" button will also do bold, italic, or underline.
I hope that helps.

Thanks Rigged, will give it a whirl next time I need it...thought I'd done that before and got the whole post, rather than the highlighted part...but missed the copy part...I think...I do love a learning curve...

Ron, if you just hit the quote button above a person's post, it does put the whole thing in the quote. If I usually just want part of it quoted, I do what Rigged said, or I just go through the message and delete what I don't want. I hope that helps.

You could also play around with whatever you want, and hit "Preview" to see what happens, instead of "Submit" to show the world what you've done. That way you don't need to worry about messing up, and you can try various effects before having to show the final results.
Basically, all those buttons are substitutes for HTML of the same names/tags (except for Quote, really). Instead of the HTML <> they use [] but otherwise work similarly for the most part. I never use the buttons, but just type in the codes manually.
Andrew.

FLUSTERMACATED?
The last time a guy had that, it took two weeks of talcum powder to clear-up.
