    Sporran Belt...silly question...

My RKilt Sporran belts arrived today...VERY nice, thank you Robert.

My silly question is which direction do I thread them through the sporrans?

Same way I wear my kilt belt with the buckle side on the left and extra through to the right, then just spin it around so the buckles in the back...?

Or is there some reason to reverse it so that the extra belt goes to the left when the buckle is in the back...

Sooooo many little things to learn....

    Thanks for any help,

    Ron

    Re: Sporran Belt...silly question...

    Ron,

As far as I know, it really does not matter. Personally, I have never given it a thought!!

I guess it all depends upon whether you are left or right handed.

I usually go with the bucle side to my left, as I find it easier to fasten it with my right hand, being right handed. Other than that, I've never heard anyone say otherwise, or even look, for that matter.

I've never thought about it, which means I probably do it the same as a normal belt. I buckle in the front, then spin it around to the back, and the extra belt "tab" ends up pointing to my right, in back.

I'm with Phil on this one Ron.

When you have worn your sporran once then you can unclip it without opening the belt. Then just reattach one side of the sporran and pass the belt around you for attaching the other side.

If you're going to pas a whole belt through then just use the method you like best just put the buckle at the back when you've attached it
    All the Best.....David.

I like mine ALL leather, no chain. The two I bought from Robert at RKilts are 5/8" wide...roughly...being Canadian sporran belts they might be measured in centimeters when made...

Is this a great World or what...I wear a Scottish kilt with a Norwegian sporran, held up with a Canadian sporran belt...

5/8"-3/4" I make two styles both are 5/8". One is a solid belt the other is like the two piece with a chain however instead of the chain I use a round braid of leather (easier on the kilt)
    Cheers
