Converts at Work
The inevitable has happened.
Some men who are constantly exposed to kilts soon have the desire to try them. I have one friend that I work with who has wanted to try one for quite some time, but cannot afford the cost. He also doesn't want tartan, but a solid color.
I have another co-worker who happened to get involved in a conversation with a third who happened to be an older country gal who was arguing with me against kilts. Eric said that if he had a kilt, he'd wear it to work. I told him I just so happened to have an extra sportkilt in my car in case I mess up the one I'm wearing at work. He said if I'd be so kind to loan it to him he'd wear it to work Tuesday.
I approached my friend Rolf and told him that Eric and I would both be kilted and that he should give it a try also. I told him that I had a sportkilt that was a little too big for me that I would be willing to give him if he wanted to join us. He agreed.
So Tuesday there will be three of us in the shop kilted on our first working day of the year. What a great way to start 2005!
I'll do my best to try and remember my camera.

One did. My friend Rolf had the guts to wear it, and he wore it all day. Here is a picture of us at work. Eric claimed that he forgot. He said he'd wear it tomorrow. We'll see.

I'm on the left in the UK. Rolf is in the Sportkilt. Rolf said that it was an interesting feeling wearing it, but it was very comfortable. He is now the proud owner of that same sportkilt.
I apologize about my non matching shoes. They are the safety shoes I bought while still in jeans. My next pair will be black leather. :o The shoes I wear while not at work are however, black leather.
