10 degrees and loving it!
A sunny 10F (-12C) today in Boston, with a wind chill down to -4F (-20C). A nice breeze between my knees. I defy anyone who thinks kilts are too cold to wear in cold weather.
I went down to my local outdoor outfitter to check out their sale items, and Stephen Tyler walked in. Cool.
Andrew.

Andrew,
I snow blowed the other day in my kilt (we live in the same state and had a recent storm). We got about 6-8 inches of snow on the North Shore...
I debated about putting on the undies but I only had to clear space for 5 cars so... it was not worth the bother.
Overall the 10 degrees was refreshing. My neighbors think I am a bit unusual.

Same here -- I'm the guy that turns the AC on in hotel rooms in the winter time -- my wife calls me the "polar bear" because I can't stand heat!
Cheers,
T.

You're an inspiration Andrew!!
I can't follow your example because it doesn't get that cold here but I do look forward to winters more in a kilt.
btw, who is Stephen Tyler?

thanks Al, I have heard of the group but don't know their music.
Unless it's celtic or 60's stuff - I'm ignorant.

That song ran through my head over and over the first few times I wore a kilt.

I went snowshoeing today. The temperature was below 0F, but the worst problem was that the snowshoes kicked up snow behind me, and ice stuck to the leg hairs on the backs of my knees. I was all crusty! I had on tall gaiters, but could have used something covering my knees too, just for the snow-caking problem. It was great snowshoeing, though. And now we're having a blizzard in Boston.
Andrew.
