Hey, Rocky; more questions
Rocky, couple of things...
First, the website. Every time I click on a small pic of a swatch, the new window with the larger pic opens up fine, but there's no picture in it! Second, I tried submitting a message to you in the "contact" box, but got an error message "Not authorized to access this something-or-other". I've tried using Netscape 7.0, Mozilla and IE.
Ain't it great trying to coordinate a website and run a business at the same time? Arrrgh!
Thirdly, on to something more pleasant! I'm thinking of getting a traditional Macnaughton since turns out that the McKnights are a sept of clan Macnaughton (MacNachtain) and I've got a MacKnight ancestor. This would be my "formal" kilt. The tartan looks like it's a fairly small repeating pattern, and my gut feeling is that it might be kind of...well..."busy". Thoughts on that? How does the pattern size correspond say, to the repeat on the Stewart tartans you use for your philabegs or the Traditional Kilt that Richard has in his gallery?
Finally, do you sew the "USA Kilts" shield on to your Traditional kilts? I took a look at the pic in Richards gallery (richardljohnson, here at XMarks) and didn't see one, but I thought I'd ask, anyway.
Thanks, Rocky!

Hey Alan,
Let's see if I can answer your questionsin the order they're posted...
1. The web site is a hastle. The more you try to make it "high tech" looking the more little problems you run into. We're going to be getting a VERY KNOWLEDGABLE web guy to redo the whole site. You may know him... HANK! The tartan pics will be "fixed" within a month or so (keeping fingers crossed as I type this).
2. If you need to contact us, best bet would be to call us at the shop (610.650.USAK) or email us directly at rocky@usakilts.com. We know about the contact us problem.
3. Technically, there's an 8 inch sett on the MacNaughton. I just measured it. Every OTHER green stripe the pattern repeats. As a comparison, the Royal Stewart has a 5.75 inch sett.
4. We do NOT put our logo on the Traditional OR Premier kilts. It just looks "out of place" on a kilt of that level and many people want to wear a kilt pin there. The patches can be added to or taken off of any kilt by request.
I hope these answers help!
