Utilikilt Contest.
Has anyone here entered the monthly photo contest on UK's website? Has anybody won? I'm putting together my entry, and would appreciate any advice on presentation, tact, etc. Thanks,

I did.
Give them some good photos of you doing interesting or unusual things in your Utilikilt(s).
Have witty answers to their "interview" questions.
Being male helps too, since they are making a modest effort of promoting Utilikilts as menswear.
I think that covers it, so to speak.

If you can get a picture of you on a GreenPeace ship... you're a shoe-in!
Look at the profile of the company, and model yourself from there.
I think you ought to get a shot taken with all the waitresses at your local "Hooters". You might not win, but MAN will you have a picture to show your friends!

Good luck...the photo part of their website went down last summer, was supposed to be back up by October 15. last I looked it was still down. Folks were told to send pics to heather (?) I did and was told to stop. Think there's a new guy to send them to in their newsletter.
From what I've seen they don't really want photos anymore, but you can enter the contest somehow...still haven't found all the questions that used to be there - they were gone by the time I waited out the 12 weeks for my first UK.
From what I've seen its gotta be something really really exotic and humanitarian to win...good luck, we all deserve a free kilt or two

Okay, I was wrong, it wasn't a Heather, it was Megan.
She said the subimt photos features would be back up by Oct 15, and in response to the photos of UKs I'd sent - same as in my gallery and the UK gallery here - she said, "Ron. Thank you. I have enough pictures for now."
She has since clarified they still take photos.

Look through the archive of previous winners. There's quite a bit of variety. I would say keep it light and fun. If you can give the reader a chuckle you've got a good chance.

Well, I'm sending my entry in. With any luck it will result in a new kilt, but if not, it won't scare me away from the UK's... Admittedly my wife's wit helps at times.
