    Kilt Hose Gift

Check out the gift I got this morning from my boss's wife. The photo is in my gallery. She got to inspect my kilt at Burns Nicht before I was finished with it. She has made 3 kilts for her family and seemed impressed by my work. These hose are handmade from homespun wool.

All I can say is wow. I have a commercial pair but I think these will really get used on special occasions.

    What a cool gift.

    How absolutely cool is that?

As I'm looking out the window into sub-zero wind chills, those babies look REAL nice!

The only downside is the care instructions given to me was handwash in cold water and hang dry. I try to wash my white socks in hot water and occasionaly bleach to kill the beasties that stink. I can live with this.

Other than Woolite does anyone know what soap I can use safely?

I am trying to decide on how to do something nice for her in return. I could offer to help wash and sort the next load of wool but my allergies would kill me. I may work with my grandfather and make her a coconut cake. He is the master and I have been meaning to learn his recipe before he can no longer make them.

What a beautiful and thoughtful gift, it speaks volumes about your character if someone was willing to do something of that magnitude.
