    My Day So Far

    Hell-o all,

Today being St Patrick's Day I of course was kilted (any doubt in your mind?) Went to the coffee shop as is my custom but today was different. Because it was a "special" day I was traditional in my wearing the kilt.

I stepped out, took a deep breath and it seemed that my spine expanded an extra vertebra. My steps were at an extra long gait.

Now I need your opinions, was it because I was going traditional? Or was it because it was St. Patrick's Day?

I personally think that it was because it was St Patrick's Day.

It was probably that shot of Irish you had before you left the house.

I can't speak for wearing a non-traditional kilt seeing how I haven't, but I always find that when I'm decked out in all the good regalia (brouges, hose, sgian dubh), it feels really great.

As far as I can research I'm only 1/32nd Irish but still got a lift out of being kilted for St.Paddy's Day at work.

Most of the office did some sort of green...somewhere on their body...I did a green (okay, olive mocker) kilt, green kilt hose, and green tartan tie...(gotta do some Scot eh??)

It just felt good. Particularly since my day was one of continual sitting through two loooong meetings and two long groups.

Kilted to panted is as barefoot to tight shoes (I just made that up...I think...)
