    kilted with wife

It was anoether grand day to be kilted
Went out with the wife today. She kept asking me if I were cold?If I wanted to go home and put some pants on.
I said Hell NO It was to nice a day to wear pants

I did give some negitive comments, of course it was from teenage girls But I just went about my business. One lady did ask what the special occasion was. I said that everyday is a special occasion

My wife joked with her co-workers that she wears the pants in the family But I said I wear the KILT

The kilt is a truly wonderful garment to wear. So treat everyday as though it were a special occasion and wear your kilt
    Hooray for anti-pants days

Negative comments from teenage girls Surprised - seems that they might be a tad jealous because their boyfriends aren't man enough to be donning the kilt. End of commentary.

Good responses all the way around

Negative responses from teenage girls? I am surprised also. They are the ones that I get most of my positive comments from.

Teenage girls have been the source of the most vile heckling I've ever gotten in the kilt.

    I'll have to ditto that.

My first day in a kilt, a UK survival in fact, and my brother in a camo original drew some hostile, some curious comments, all from teenage girls of the hip-hop crowd.

Two days ago at a friend's birthday, two fo the young girls present (who had previously made negative comments) were asking why I chose to wear a skirt. I tried to give her my best explanation - a kilt, a male garment, I even gave her the "If an alien came to earth" argument from kiltmen.com, but all to no avail. In the end she just left it with an "If it makes you happy".

She apparently couldn't grasp how for men, a kilt might be more comfortable a garment to wear than pants. It seems that the only reason for wearing a skirt she could fathom was - to show off one's legs.

Well, if you have legs to show off, why not, that IS an argument!!

At least if you have legs like mine!!!!

Didn't say it wasn't, just that it was the only reason she seemed to understand.

Galant you should have explained it was to show off the legs but it takes time to get it ready what with the string you have to use to keep from hanging below the bottom of the kilt.

    or is that just me?

I was trying hard enough not to get TMI since they were young enough girls that I was conscious of the issue.

As a rule I try to not talk about such issues with the opposite sex unless necessary.
