Pittsburgh Kilts Feedback
Okay, so I'm getting down to the point where I'm going to dive into the solid kilt companies and "pony-up". I've ordered a Camo Kilt from Jeff (about time ain't it buddy?) that I'll wear at the outdoor festivals and concerts this summer, along with my camo hunting boots. It's a "stealth-thing" for when the lines are too long at the outhouses.
I've seen a LOAD of his work around here for the last year, and have been impressed every single time! Not to forget that every owner was ecstatic with the fit, feel, and quality.
I promised the guy in November (at the Harp and Fiddle in Pittsburgh) that I would get one as soon as I could... and it's time. I can't wait to own one of these!
What kind of feedback on these kilts do you guys have? I know Ron has his and raves about them all the time (and that's some high praise). What do the actual wearers have to recommend with care and wear? Since these are far from the traditional look, what kind of feedback do you get from the other "kilt guys" when you run into them?

I've heard nothing but good things about Pittsburgh Kilts, fact is, Kid Cossack gave me such a rave review, I ordered one today. I hope to hear more good stuff, and in 6 weeks or so I hope I can give a good review.
I ordered one in Saddle Tan with hidden side pockets.
Let the jonesing begin!

It seems that Im gonna have to order my MARPAT kilt sooner than what I thought. Its all your fault guys!!!!

Kid Cossack is mighty pleased with his MARPAT PK. His only complaint is that he needs to workout some to get back into it after the holidays.

Yup Jimmy, I love them PKs.
Funny, I thought the underapron pocket was silly when I ordered. Now I use it all the time.
For me, out here in the boonies, they're interchangeable with my UK workman's and survival for wearing in the bush and being able to wash them like jeans.
Course, my favorite thing about Jeff is is creativity and willing to do different things.
Wore the Arizona Flag Tri Color PK to the Camp Verde Highland games and got LOTS of double takes, but only a Readcoat reenactor asked me where to get one...he got a card.
Once you see how good the regular PKs are I'll bet you'll be coming up with an idea for Jeff...

Congratulatons on ordering your first PK, Jimmy. (Yes, "first" ... you'll get more.)
The first post in this thread is my PK review:

That's from way-back, when I only had two. I have three more now. The last three have been even better than the first two; the quality keeps going up. The suede is my favorite. My avatar shows me wearing an altered Predator PK, my fourth. And since Jeff doesn't want me touting my fifth PK, I won't.
With your first PK, you'll have an idea of what features you want, and what you want to change in the design. That way, you can customize your next order. That was my (unintentional) strategy. Now, I have five, and no two are at all alike.

Thanks guys. I see why the man is SO busy with the kilts now! We're gonna keep him at that machine all summer at this rate.
Since the swatches arrived today (Friday) I'm going to go with the Timber pattern and match it with my boots. I may get shot in the woods of Pennsylvania, but atleast I'll die looking good!
Thanks for the OUTSTANDING customer service Jeff. I can't wait to recommend these to everyone. Thanks for the magnet too. Nice advertising touch!!!
