Hello All,
I just want to start off saying that I have enjoyed reading the variety of kilt topics in this forum. I have been "lurking" for a couple of months and decided it my time to contribute.
My "kiltistory" is that I own a great kilt and basically where it to the scottish games here in middle Tennessee. Its the only kilt i've worn. But I am in the market for a modern/contemporary kilt. There are so many to choose from its mind blowing.
I doubt I will ever get the OK to where one to work (a bank) but would enjoy having one to hike the Smokys in.

Yes there is a large amount of options for casual kilts, and plenty of opinions as you have been finding out.
