    This is called customer service

It has been a while from my last post but I wanted to pass along something that happened over the past 4 months.

Back in Feb. I contacted Rocky to about a traditional Gunn kilt. Rocky did not have enough tartan in to do this but he assured me that some was on the way. In March he had enough in and I placed the order. At that time he advised a 4-6 week delivery due to his work load and the wait was not a problem. Due to a back injury during that period my attention was focused on other things and I acutally put the kilt out of my mind.

Last week my wife asked if I had received the kilt as we have an event in 2 weeks I wanted to wear it to. I had not received it so I contacted Rocky to inquire as to the status. Rocky returned an e-mail stating that it had been mailed over 3 weeks ago. Well, it seems that it had gotten way-layed somewhere between him and me. Rocky stated that he would remake the kilt and send me the replacement. I told him that this was not a problem and I sat back and waited.

To my surprise around 1pm this last Saturday while shopping i got a call from Rocky stating that he was working on it special and reconfirmed the measurments. (Imagine, working on Saturday to fulfill an order...isn't that almost unAmerican?)

Wednesday when I returned home there it was waiting on my door step! I felt like a kid on Christmas. Even in my 'Dr. approved drugged state' I put it on and marveled at it.

As usual the quality and workmanship was great! The weight was impressive and the swing made me feel better dispite the back pain!

I have sung my praises of Rocky and Kelly before but for him (and Kelly who I heard in the background) to remake and ship it to me on what should be his day off REALLY impressed me more.

If anyone has any questions as to the dedication of these two and the quality of their work please put it out of your mind!

Rest assured as soon as I can lift a dram to Rocky and Kelly I will!

I hope to get some picutres this weekend and post.

Thanks again Rocky and Kelly your still number 1 in my book!!!!!!!

    Talking

Very kind words Richard. Thank you very much and thank you for your understanding. Again, Kelly and I apologize that the FIRST kilt never arrived. Hey... 2 packages lost in over 2 years is a pretty darn good average considering we send 2 to 3 packages a day!

When we tell people that we work 7 days a week, generally they think we're just blowing smoke... we actually DO work 7 days a week. If we didn't, our backorder would go from 6 weeks to 10 weeks in a heartbeat! If you still don't believe me, call the shop on a Sunday!

Send me some action pics (as active as you can be with a back injury) of you in your new Gunn Semi Trad and we'll get them in our customer gallery on the new site (TO BE ANNOUNCED).

Glad to see you back here Richard.

And thanks for the good words on Rocky. I'm still leaning toward one of his traditionals for my first tartan, and saving to that end.
