kilted at work
Well I finally did it! I went to work today at the post office kilted. The boss said that he was fine with the kilt and my co-workers did not say a thing about it.They think I'm strange anyway. But it sure was nice to be kilted today the temp was 82 degrees!
being kilted felt great. Someone did ask if I were going to a highland game. I said nope I just like wearing my kilt. The promblem is I only have one kilt to wear to work. Oh well father's day is coming lol!

Just love reading stories of TKA (total kilt acceptance). Congratulations.

Congrats Kiltie!
How long did you have your kilt before you decided to wear it to work? I'm hoping I can just charge blindly into wearing a kilt without balking. I already checked with my boss-lady and she was quick to give me the O.K. on wearing kilts. Anticipation is killing me though. I hope to have my first kilt before the end of this month.

Congratulations, Kiltie.
I wore trousers, instead of a kilt, to work on Friday, for the first time in about 10 weeks. What was I thinking.
Rather interesting to hear the 'flip side' of the questions/comments.
My standard response to 'where is the kilt' was 'I wanted to try something different - and I don't like it'.

Well done, in that kind of heat it really is good to be kilted (provided it's not an 8 yard 16oz woollen kilt)
My day was the opposite, I had an installation to do high up a ladder in the main street of the city. I wore shorts (mustn't frighten the horses) the job took two hours and I was longing to get the shorts off and wear a kilt. That's 2 hours bifurcated in the last four weeks...too much

Working in a kilt is wonderful, you can't beat it. 8-)

Way to go Kiltie!
Wore my camo UK original to work Friday, no one says anything to me anymore...a yawner to them now. Kept it on for the cancer walk-a-thon Friday night and had many positive comments from high school aged guys.
Keep your eyes out for some resale Utilikilts in postal blue...

82 degrees..... LOL
You say 82 degrees like that's warm! LOL.... We've already topped 100 on several days here. I can't wear mine to work, but I tell ya, it's nice to have ventilated evenings!!

Good on ya! Congratulations. I expect the Post Office has rules about what youcan and cannot wear, so wearing a kilt to work is a major breakthrough.
I've been kilted at work two days week for about 5 months now and nobody I work with even notices any more. It's totally a non-issue. It'll get there for you, too.
