The meeting
Hell-o all,
From an earlier post you are well aware that Graham has arrived in Denver. After calling the mayor's office and getting all security in place, because no one can trust those bearded kilted men, the meeting was to commence.
Numerous phone calls, phone tag, and all points bulletins, the meeting began. The hotel lobby, I was the one reading the newspaper behind the palm, lots of people mingling and walking about, registration trying to get things in place for the week. In he walks with two lovely ladies, one being his wife, and the other the lady of the house in which they are staying. Commotion, confusion, cacophony of conversation the eyes meet, yes we see each other, everyone clears out of the way for the showdown. Hands across the nations of two kilted gents was what was observed. The relief in the eyes of everyone else was such a blessing (no blood letting was allowed LOL).
Yes I finally got to meet Graham and of course his lovely wife (definetly his better half) Leslie. They do compliment each other perfectly. They were fortunate to go to the ever famous coffee shop and enjoy a great cup of coffee and Chai. They also helped boost the local economy (thanks for that) by buying a T-shirt with the logo of the coffee shop on it. I do have one comment for you Graham, that kind of hemp is to be worn LOL. They met a few of the regulars, but because this was a holiday it was very slow inside, so the activity was rather sparse, but hopefully they got a sense of community from the place, that I certainly enjoy.
Knowing that Leslie would like to see some flowers and the like a trip to the Denver Botanical Gardens was on our agenda. It is such a nice and relaxing time to see the flora of all kinds growing. Leslie was such a joy seeing her drawing and taking pictures of the things there that it also gave Graham and myself a chance to do some real man to man awesome kilt talk. With some of the pictures that were taken, he for some reason wanted me not to stand on the curb with him, I guess it was easier for us to look eyeball to eyeball that way.
Well we did have to stop by the place where I first saw the guy with green tights. A memorable moment (sigh), that brought a tear to his eye.
Just thought that everyone would like to know that Graham is an alright guy, but please do not tell him that, for I do not want it to go to his head.
