fun reunion
last weekend was the celebration of my parents 50th anniversary. they waited quite a while to have kids because i'm the eldest and i am only 33! (beep...beep...beep...bullsh** detector). EVERYBODY showed up, all the kids, five of us, all the grandkids, about twenty and even a few greatgrand kids!
with great tepredation i put on the SWK hummer(tm) and strode out the door...to mostly silence, a few catcalls (little brother) and a few thumbs up. since my family is staunch (read really conservative) LDS i thought the response was great!
when the gathering was breaking up, one of my siblings told me they had lost the directions so stopped to ask at the local gas station. we must live in a small town. one of the cashiers looked blank until the other turned to her and said "the guy in the kilt"
I"M FAMOUS!!! of course the town has 400+ people...but, I'M FAMOUS.
all in all a great weekend. lots of kids, games, eats, stories, tears and i gave a nephew this site and stillwaters address. hope springs eternal

Now that you are famous, does that mean we have to pay for your autograph now????
What a great weekend it must have been!
Now we must talk about being 33, hold on to that (wink wink nudge nudge), as it will get you far LOL

Hey Mac,
I live down in thick LDS country. One of my coworkers, a young man who is so devout he wears "the garments" (sorta like underwear for those who don't understand) is really intrigued by my kilts when I wear them to work and has asked where to get them. Have given him cards and websites...if he bought one he hasn't worn it around me yet.
