A Daily Reason to Wear the Kilt

Davedove's post gave me an idea.

First, of course no one needs a "reason" to wear the kilt.

For those starting out, or going kilted into a new situation, perhaps a booklet of 366 daily reasons to wear the kilt...one for each day of the year (including leap year).

There are certainly plenty of reasons for many dates already. Historic dates, saint's days, anniversaries of battles, dates in support of a highland games here or a Celtic faire there...

Might be fun. Certainly a challenge. Probably doable.

I too had started playing around with the idea a loooong time ago. The first few threads were somewhat entertaining / amusing while others were a real stretch... (Today is Attila the Hun Day etc.) The idea got a bit stale after a short while and died a quiet death. The calendar format is a much better approach. There are quite a few websites dedicated to "this day in history" which might be a good start. No doubt with a bit of effort, assembling 365 significant days worthy of the kilt out of 1.2 million days of recorded history, should be quite possible. Maybe even talk Hank into linking it all to the little calendar on the front of this website. (...thats where it would probably be most functional.) It's interesting to see the same idea bubble to the surface like this... must mean it's worthwhile.

Waking up healthy is a good enough reason to wear a kilt, but it is fun to read of all the special days, isn't there a website somewhere that lists the days?

I've already done something similar and know its a lot of work.
