It is starting
In a few hours, we will be picking up Hamish and Dave W. from Vancouver International Airport.
I can't wait to meet Ham in person.

Raphael...
With all we've had going on in our lives right now, our attendance was obviously not an option. However, please carry my best wishes to everyone at the gathering and may you all have a memorable and wonderful time.
My best to you all,

Wait! I'm not ready!
I got a new idea yesterday for a kilt for the fashion show and spent last night until about 3AM making most of it on our ancient Singer sewing machine.
I've still got lots of the fashion show kilts to make, as well as keeping up with the orders as best I can.
There's a couple of kilts that are quite unique ideas but still might sell well.
Whoops! Gotta get ready to pick up Ham 'n Dave.
Sounds like a blues group, except they only played delis.

My hotel reservation has gone thru.
I'm right around the corner from Bear's shop.
If the kilt night gets too much I can always crawl back to the hotel.
I'll see you guys at the dinner at Moxie's.

Hamish and Dave W. arrived safely in Vancouver and Raphael, his family, and I picked them up from the airport, had dinner and ice cream with them on Commercial Drive, and left them at their hotel to catch up on sleep.
They're a couple of good blokes and I figure they're going to have a good time on this holiday.
They're looking forward to the Victoria trip. Anyone know when that's happening? Maybe Steve and Raphael could work out a date that won't interfere with other events?
Also, I've had a lot of guys tell me they want to take me out of the store and buy me a beer. While I don't normally say no to this kind of behaviour, I have a hell of a lot of kilts to make and can't spend the next two weeks half in the bag!
It will be great to see those of you attending. It's too bad we can't all get together. Can you imagine the brawl?

I thought someone over there would know what is going on?????
I am available and willing to do the Victoria thing if someone will just give me a date and time.
Except on the weekend of the 5th,6th,7th, when I will be attending the dinner and kiltnight.
Bear, my hotel is about a block from your shop, A beer perhaps?
Of course, if anyone wants I can put a few in my car on Sunday when I head home. Then I can put them on the bus for the return to their hotel.

I'm getting psyched!!! My wife, daughters, future son-in-law and I will be there mid morning Wednesday. I believe we're staying at the same Hotel as Ham and Dave.

What is the name of the hotel? There are a few nice places and a few not so nice places in that area.
Andrew has said that he would try and help out with the Victoria day, Steve. He is only a few blocks from your shop.
I was lucky enough to meet up with Raphael, Hamish, and Dave for a few bevies last night. Both really great people, and it was a really pleasure to meet them both. The three of them cam eup to my place after and met my wife and my daughter (who should have been well asleep by that point). I am definitely looking forward to enjoying a few more days together while they are in town.
