My name is Shay, I'm actually a woman (gasp! Quelle Horreur!) but I have started making kilts recently and was surfing the web looking for how much I should charge and what features would be best. I'm making modern kilts in a couple fabrics, twill, patterned cotton doubled over, and I'm attempting my first corduroy. (My husband- a weekend kilt wearer, says he like the fabric but hates the swzh-swzh-swzh noise of cord pants- hence my brilliant idea- this stuff is hard to work with!) I'll post a picture when I have a color besides the finished black one at my house black to show, since all you'd see would be the rivets!

Anyway, I might mostly be lurking or asking for recommendations on what colors/fabrics people would like. I personally own a USA Kilt and an Amerikilt, my husband owns an Amerikilt (My wedding present to him) and some terrible Ren Faire thing that he loves. Here's a picture of him in it and Craig from Enter the Haggis:

His shirt says Lipstick, and when asked why, he asks, "What's yer second question?" I believe the 'tartan' is what we in the house call Mac Joann's.
