Bernie Touching Base
Hi Guys, I thought I would join this forum because a very good friend of mine recommended it to me. I'm in my mid-forties and been wearing kilts for many years now, mostly Utilikilts, but I also own a 9-yard tartan in my clan name (I have a Scottish surname but apart from that I am as English as a pint of Boddingtons). I live in North East Hampshire in the UK at weekends and in Hertfordshire during the week.
I used to be a regular member of one of the so-called "unbifurcated garment" forums but got bored after a few years and gave up. But I feel a renewed interest in having a natter with like-minded individuals about a subject that is close to my heart....so close in fact that it gets a mention in the divorce proceedings my soon to be ex-wife is taking out against me.
I have about 7 kilts of varying types and styles and wear them as often as I can, which means just about everywhere except at work. I won't tell you who my friend is but he now owns 53 kilts and is a celebrity in the kilted fraternity....any guesses?
Bernie
PS. I just know someone is going to tell me Boddingtons is brewed in Wales or Japan or somewhere...

Welcome to the forum!
You'll find alot of activity here, fun and weird, but mostly fun.
I don't know about Boddington's, so I just assume you really are Scottish!

Welcome Bernie! I'm new to the forum myself, but now so new to the kilt. So far this is the best kilted forum I've found anywhere. It's a good feeling to know that there are so many like minded individuals in the world.

Welcome, and while I can guess who your friend is, I can assure your fears on Boddingtons are unfounded. It is brewed in the UK.

Welcome Bernie, glad to have you here. I do think your friend passed the 53 mark already though. ;)

Wow, that's a lot of welcomes in such a short space of time. I only went away for 5 minutes to make a cup of tea and I came back and I'm confronted with half a dozen replies. Yeap Bubba I've just noticed that he has increased his kilt haul from 53 to 55....I can't keep up with him.
Thanks for making me feel I am amongst friends.
Bernie

Hi Bernie,
I also would like to add my welcome to you, and I know that you will be pleased you came here. The friend who steered you in this direction must be a good pal of yours, and a wise one too - I'd like to meet him one day.
