Found the secret!
Yesterday I took my kids to their TKD class and I had to walk to the local hardware store for some supplies. The street was FULL of workers from the local meat packing plant. Mostly Hispanic, though meat cutters tend to be a rough and ready lot, whatever their connections. Thought about Riverkilts comment about "a swing like a confidant tomcat's tail". Decided to just strut it a little. Head high, nod to everybody, confidant bearing and LET THE KILT SWING!
No comments (yes I know enough Spanish to tell). Couple of looks (never been hurt like one of those!).
So the secret seens to be,
PANACHE!
(I think that is french for not quite cocky)
thanks for the cat image Ron,
every day can be a good day!
Best of luck to everybody on the East coast! Feel lots of empathy for those who cannot leave the coastline....verylittle sympathy for those who WILL not leave.
