    Kilts when vegging out

What do you guys wear when slouching around at home? I sometimes wear my UK at home, but find that the material is quite heavy to be really comfortable when vegging out.

When I am watching TV, I tend to slouch in a chair, or lie on a sofa -- neither is particularly conducive to keeping pleats in good condition.

I've tried sarongs (like Surf Kilt), and that works quite well as they are very easy to care for. The only minor problem I have is that sarongs have a tendency to fall off my stomach!

I have a Macabi also. I am not convinced about the style, but appreciate the elasticated waist for comfy wear (given that I have an elasticated stomach).

Spartain sounds intriguing for similar reasons (the elasticated waist), though I am not sure the pleats would survive the slouching.

How do you all approach this?

I seriously thought this was going to be about vegetarian kilt affairs, like the use of wool in the kilt and leather in the sporrans. I was getting my self all ready to make an intelligent thoughtful reply about vegan alternatives to standard kilt wear, like the animal friendly canvas kilt with matching sporran.

    Instead, I find sloth.

I would tend to agree that the Macabi would be comfortable around the house, or the sarong. I still want to get one.

Nuts. Silly English language and it's uses. Curses.

I'll wear my UK original around the house in the evenings (as well as being my usual weekend attire). Works great for me to kick my feet up and watch TV, or even lay down on the couch for a nap or bookreading. Yeah, the pleats get a bit mussed at times, but can usually settle into them just fine so they don't.

I opt for a Navy Stewart sport kilt. It's lite, lot's of extra fabric so it drapes well with your feet up, and cheap so if I spill something on it no big deal.

Same thing as I wear during the day. Though I don't think I would ever wear the UK Spartan out, it would be nice for lazing, sick days, and getting up in the middle of the night, methinks.
