    It's ya'lls fault

With all the talk about making your own kilts, and sewing experience going on this week, I actually dreamed about making a kilt last night. So I guess I'm going to have to give it a shot.

First question, anyone here get a free copy of Barb's book that has decided not to try and make one? I'm going to have to use internet directions unless someone feels like donating to the cause.

Most of the internet instructions that I've seen are pretty comprehensive. I'm starting a couple of kilts based on them.

Try Fetchbooks.com and see if the Book of Barb show up there for a decent price...

Let me ammend and correct the Fetchbooks link...it's www.Fetchbooks.info.

And on a lighter note, I just checked it and found that the book is available for $287.16 used on Amazon.com for France...so much for my helpful suggestions!

You might try making a plain-color kilt in inexpensive material, first.

If you google for "make a kilt" you will find at least two sets of instructions which go into enough detail to put together a decent machine-sewn 4-5 yarder if your body shape isn't too "different".

Shoot, for that price you could buy the book new here, resell it there, & make a nice profit.
