Tannahill Weaver In Lake Wobegon
News fron Green Linnet:
Tannahill Weavers In Lake Wobegon!
The Tannies take their Highland harmonies to the little town that time forgot this weekend. The band will be live on national radio on A Prairie Home Companion, with host Garrison Keillor. Tune in to your local public station for a good blast of Highland pipes and humor. To learn more, visit prairiehome.publicradio.org.
The band continues their US tour on Sunday in Denver at Swallow Hill, www.swallowhill.com , and later in the month in Dayton, Columbus, and Bellingham WA. Hear what one reviewer recently described as "...when the Tannies crank it, their light glows white-hot and generates enough heat to solve the energy crisis." See valleyadvocate.com for details.

They have great musical guests. It is the first place I heard the Battlefield Band, and Vasen (who while not Scottish, do prove that the Vikings had a great influence on the culture) and other great folk groups.
