    Searson

Any of our many Canadian members ever seen them perform? They were fantastic! I was sitting in the audience next to the fiddler from Tinker's Dam, and after Colleen Searson had played her first tune on the fiddle, All she (the Tinker's Dam fiddler) could say was "WOW".

They're good friends, and whenever they're in the area, I always stop in to see/hear them. A dad... his daughters... and the girl down the street. You just can't get any better than that!

Their CD's just don't do them justice. You actually have to see them dance and sway on-stage to get the full appreciation for their talents.

Anytime that you have the opportunity to go and see them, it's WELL worth the effort. Take your significant others too. My wife is a HUGE fan, and loves to sit and chat with them.

There was only four of them at Richmond, the dad and his 3 daughters. I guess the girl from down the street couldn't make the trip or something.. THey handed out survey forms at the gates when we entered. One of the questions on the survey was "How can we make the Richmond games better next year"? My reply was, "Be sure to bring Searson back and for more than one performance next time". I have to agree with what the Fiddler from Tinker's Dam said, "WOW" and it has to be in capital letters.

Usually, Colleen Searson and Jamie Gardner (the red-head) play twin-fiddles throughout the sessions... and they are UNBELIEVABLE.

Sorry that you missed THAT, since their timing is impecable.
