Kilting and Loving it
I just got into the world of kilt wearing this summer, Love it!...my wife and I made a utilty style kilt....turned lots of heads at work and in the shopping centers.....the women at work love it...a couple of the guys asked where I got it? , is it comfortable?...do I get taunted/teased?....I told them...I'm dam comfortable and very proud to be wearing my kilt (now have 4 of varied stlyes)...I had a funny experience at our local beach this summer...as I was walking to the beach with my 18 month old daughter, I took of my shirt as we started in the water, I noticed 2 younger men looking thinking I was going to give a show....look of shock when they realized i was a guy....they made a comment or 2 ..told them don't knock it til u tried it....
I'm working on kilts for our boys 17 and 5 and, my father asked if I would make him one after seeing how comfortable I looked in mine....hmmm might be a market here in Saint John NB

Welcome aboard...wish I had your talent...keep sewing my fingers together just tacking down patches...lots of good "how to" on kiltmaking on this board. Hope you do a search and find some of the previous posts.

And I'm sorry to say, in all cases, it's terminal, no hope of recovery. ;-)

Ahah!! another kilt addict. You will be assimilated, resistance is futile
It's good to hear such stories of first time kilt wearers and the joy and freedom they experience.
This forum turned me into a full time kilt wearer and ruined my life, beware.
(no, I love it really, it just cost me thousands)
Keep the stories coming, love to read them.
