My newest addition!
Well, I received my latest kilt purchase yesterday. I bought it on eBay from a seller named emeraldtartans who seems to have a continous selection of kilts. Auction was buy it now for GBP 29.00, and air mail shipping from Northern Ireland to the US was GBP 15 and another GBP 4.50 for insurance. So in total with shipping, I was out about $86. Pretty good price. Here is the auction
Description stated a 16oz PV kilt, and as near as I can tell, it is 16oz. My only reference is my semi-trad from Rocky which is 13oz PV. This is a heavier material, but I don't have any way to confirm the exact weight. It is pleated to the sett, tapered apron, and the pleats are sewn down to the bottom of the fell. 2 buckles, and the bottom edge is hemmed, not selvedge. I am wearing it today and am pretty happy with it, especially given the price and the speed of delivery (1 week!). If anybody has any specific questions, let me know. Here are some pics:
