Derek, a little known fact is that The Lollipop Lady is in fact, the final authority on fashion including Cilts, so if she says Cilts are OK, then there is nothing more to say!!
Our local Lollipop Lady has never said a word about my kilt, but secretly, I think she likes it ;-)
Well done!

Derek,
You did not mention if she gave you a lollipop (the truest form of acceptance) or not! How wonderful it is to have someone appreciate the Cilt or Kilt instead of derogatory remarks.
By the way, what is the name of the rail station in Wales with the very long name?

ByDand,
I think that:-
Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysilio gogogoch
is the name you are looking for.
I will let you into a little secret. It is an invented name. The real name of the place (on maps) is:-
Llanfairpwllgyngyll (shortened to LlanfairPG)
But the rest was added to the station name to make it famous, and probably toattract tourists, who would buy momentos and thus bring in some extra cash. Still, I think it is a great name.
Rob
PS Ignore the gap towards the end of the full name. It shouldn't be there, but the message preview window seems to want to add a gap. It obviously doesn't speak Welsh.

that took me back. I wonder how many North American readers know that the lollipop lady is the crossing guard?

I wasn't sure, but I thought that's what it was. Thanks for the verification.
