Lagavulin-licious!
My local liquor store has Lagavulin 16yo on sale for $55. Of course a bottle ended up on the shelf of my liquor cabinet.

I wonder how that happened Andrew? Good for you on such a find and price. Do you think that you can offer suggestions how some stores around here can sell it for that price?

Lucky You. It's a wonderful dram and the price is a nice bonus.

Now that is one Islay malt I've not tried, I'm drooling!
get this tho, my brother in law in England picked up two bottles of Laphroaig to bring over to me next month.
They are 10 y/o, he got them for 13 pounds something each!! that's about $31 AUD and CAN.
I paid $80!!! for the last one. That's 10 quid less that club members can buy it, it was from cash and carry.
I won't be posting much next month

Aw Graham, just hook it up with an IV drip so you can type.

The IV thing just doesn't work for me. You would get the effect of the alcohol without the enjoyment of sipping a fine single malt. Better something like this with the cans replaced with two glasses of Scotch to allow typing while sipping and enjoying.

Lagavulin is one of my favorites.
At that price you might want to get another, You never know when friends will be dropping in for a wee dram!
It is a good $25 lower than I can find it for around here.

I think we all consider Andrew as a real friend, don't we??:-)
It time we all paid a social visit...just in case he thinks we're ignoring him
Did I mention that I opened a 12 year Bowmore on St.andrews day for the pipe band that played??
It was nice, but frankly lacked the peaty, seaweedy, smoky flavour of Laphroaig/Ardbeg, which I love.

It's a good $25 lower than what it normally goes for around here, too! I should get another bottle, so when all my "fair-whisky" friends drop in I can host them. Or so when I finish knocking back this bottle I'll have another on stand-by.
But of course you're all invited to stop on by for a dram.
Andrew.

I was going to suggest the same thing. I was looking into the price of some malts in BC as compared to Alberta and was shocked to see that they were half the price in Alberta. Luckily I have a friend spend Christmas in Calgary with her family. So for the cost of a bottle of Oban 14 year in BC, I am getting a bottle of Oban 14 year and a bottle of either Highland Park 12 yr or Dlawhinnie 15 year.
