Last Philly kilt night for Magnus?
Well the "new" job wasn't working out. It was kind of a neat company but there were some issues in my direct chain of command and I wasn't happy. I'm taking some time off between jobs right now to study some new subject matter to advance my craft, and then I'm moving back to North Carolina (where I'm sure the kilt-wearing population will soon rise) in January.
So I reckon there is time for one last kilt night before I get out of town. Shoot for something maybe the first weekend in January? Kildare's KoP?
Oh yeah, and I'm going to be a dad again. Just found out this morning. Completely unplanned, but completely welcome. This will make 3.

Fantastic news mate! We toyed with the idea of going for 3, but the demon that is our 2.5 year old daughter shocked us back to reality
I hope you and the family find great happiness in your new surroundings and I wish you all the luck.

Magnus,
CONGRATULATIONS on #3. In addition to heading back to North Carolina in pursuit of other fine things.

Sorry the job did not work out. Been there, done that and it really sucks when you have moved to take it.
Congrats on the upcoming addition! We are pretty set wit 2, don't think we could handle a third. Where in NC will you be living?

Magnus,
1. Congrats on being a dad again!
2. :-( Too bad you're moving! And just after I'd met you...Oh well, here's wishing you bigger and better things in NC.

Technically, I think "out in the middle of nowhere" would be the most accurate description. It's out deep in tobacco farm country. I bought 36 acres of land out there with my in-laws, so my wife & I have 12 acres of it to ourselves with her sister on one side and her parents on the other. Right now we have ZERO yard (concrete outside the front door and a major commercial boulevard) so this is a huge difference.
Closest city is Durham (about 40 minutes to downtown). Raleigh is just over an hour away. Closest town that will be on any map is Roxboro but I think that's a good 15-20 minutes away.

Well there is still an opportunity to knock back a few pints and make the ladies blush.
I do still have family up here so it's concievable that I might be in town once or twice a year.
