    Ho, ho, hoot mon!

And have YOU gotten your kilted Scotsman Santa Christmas (yes...I said Christmas...NOT "holiday"...Christmas...and I'm not even affiliated with any specific Relgious Denomination but I'm not going to get into this "Politically Correct" B.S.) Tree ornament?

We found one at a Kohl's near us a couple of days ago...let's just say that this ornament is to Scots much like the Notre Dame Leprachaun is to the Irish...but we bought it anyway: 'tis the season to be kitschy!

They did have a larger "Santa With Bagpipes" and a kilt hanging down to mid-shins (it is obvious that Hamish was not consulted in the making of this tchatchke).

My daughter reminded me that we did pick out a "Welsh Santa" figurine for a friend of ours a couple of years ago...and that they did have "Scottish Santa" as well and these were in somewhat better taste but I doubt that the store where we found Welsh Santa still has any of those figures any more...

So what kind of kilt-appropriate holiday decorations have the rest of you found? I'm still looking for that menorah kilt pin!

My mother made me a kilted Santa doll years ago. Each of my siblings and I received one tailored to our specific interests. My brother got a golfer, for example. Mine came kilted in a Davidson tartan with an mini "airplane" bottle of scotch in one hand and a walking stick in the other. She even found little brogues at a thrift store. His sporran fell off during my recent move and we've lost it, so she's making me another one. Hopefully she'll have it done soon and I can post some pics.

At the Christmas show in Richmond, They had a kilted Santa for the kids. He was wearing the traditional Santa suit jacket white beard hat and ect. However instead of the usual red trousers, he was wearing a tartaned kilt. I'm not sure which tartan, but it was mostly red with some black in it. It could have been any one of many red tartans.
