I've got a bugle insignia that I'm going to make into a kilt pin.Does anyone know of a source for the pin part?

Most hobby/craft shops have pin backs of various lengths. Check the jewelry section.

I got a generic kilt pin at Joann's, two for 2 bucks.

I've been buying hat pins, bending them into a U-shape and then attaching items to the bent part. Then I just attach cover to the bottom and I've got a very nice kilt pin. I'll have to post some pics soon.

Thanks for the replies. Now that I know what they're called (pinbacks),I can find them everywhere.
