Talking Just ordered a 2006 SWK Blackwatch

Well, I placed my order for a 2006 Stillwater Blackwatch kilt. My old blackwatch seems to have shrunken ;) and won't fit comfortably around my waist anymore so I decided to try out one of these new kilts. Actually had a nice chat with Jerry over the phone this morning about it. Can't wait till it arrives. I'll post comments here and on KiltReview when it arrives. One more thing to jones about.

So since Christmas I've placed orders for 2 USAK Premiers and 1 Stillwater Standard. My spouse is gonna kill me!

This is exciting! Glad to hear of your ever expanding collection.

Three in less than a month, sounds good to me.

I bought the standard. I'm waiting on the heavy weights for the new ones to come in that are made from merino wool.

I hate to tell you this, but if you check the front page of Stillwaterkilts' site, you'll see that he has had some of the Merino Wool 2006 models in stock since Christmas....a few in each size. Myself and a couple of other forum members have each purchased one over the last week or two.

So for those who have gotten the new wool SWK Heavywights, is the blue as "electric" as it looks in the photo that Freedomlover posted several days ago? I know from previous experience (shooting towels for the Sears catalog) that some dyes really fluoresce when they get hit with the light from a flash but look fairly subdued under normal lighting conditions.

I saw that and I guess I had a senior moment cause I didn't think to ask when I had him on the phone.
