    16 oz wool kilts

I wore my new Stillwater Black Watch 16 oz wool kilt all day today. Now I know what you guys mean when you talk about 16 oz, wool kilts . It is an amazing garment, beautifully pleated to the set, and the feel - there is nothing like it. It's something that you have to experience first hand. I love this kilt!

I was outside talking to the neighbor lady today. She's 30 years younger than me, and accustomed to seeing me wear a kilt. But today, she could not keep her eyes off of that Black Watch 16 ouncer.

I've noticed the same thing. Ladies that are used to my contemporary kilts will take notice, comment, sometimes even wanna feel the fabric of the hand sewn wool kilts.

Two ladies have specifically asked me to walk down the hall ahead of them so they could watch the pleats swing.

    Thank you God!!

How sweet it is. Got to get me some more of those 16 oz. heavyweights.

When I was in the hospital recently, a lady visiting from England grabbed a handful of pleats on my Stillwater Black Heavyweight, and exclaimed "that's wool" - actually is was 13 oz. acrylic (2005 model). I didn't see amy point in correcting her. When you're a 59 year old guy, steering a walker down the hall and this happens, you wisper, "Thank you God."

When I got my 2006 standard model I was surprised by how much the fabric had improved over my 2005 nightstalker standard. It's pretty obvious that the nightstalker isn't wool, but the 2006 is really darn close in look and feel (to the touch) and could easily fool the uninitiated.
