OK Hank, it's now 'official' : 59!
This morning the postman delivered the kilt I was planning to collect from Howie on Saturday. It is my traditional 8 yarder "X Marks the Scot" tartan - No.59 in the 'Kilt Kollection' - which I asked Geoffrey (Tailor) Ltd., of Edinburgh to tailor for me. I called them yesterday afternoon requesting that it be mailed, in case my sciatica prevented me from getting to London at the weekend. They did and it was in my hands at about 9.30am today. Many thanks to everyone at Geoffrey (Tailor)!
Naturally the first thing I did was to remove the basting stitches, and then I put it on... Oh, boy! Is this one more beautiful kilt from that stable, or is it one more beautiful kilt from that stable?!! It is as my American brothers would say, "Awsome!" The "X Marks..." tartan (again, my thanks to everyone involved in producing it) makes up into a really superb kilt - a joy to behold and a joy to wear.
Obviously, photos had to be taken without delay, and here are the first three, but I think I could have been less impatient and allowed time for the effects of the basting to have worn off. Maybe I'll get the camera out again at the weekend....

Is this the only "X Marks..." kilt in Europe, or even outside of North America?
