The lines in the pleats are pretty wonky but that might just be the picture. I am always amazed at how little attention some people pay to the pictures they post on ebay. The seller has had a lot of transactions and his feedback score is 99.9.
Hamish has a pinstripe kilt in his collection. I believe his website is down now, but as I recall it was very good looking but then that's redundant as every kilt on Hamish looks great.

It's the pleats in the back that I'm really concerned with because while the front looks great it's the back that looks like a disaster zone. I mean if my butt is gonna look like a UPC symbol, I'd at least want the lines to look okay.

I see what you mean. It looks like it has been folded up and they didn't hang it properly to get the pleats lined up. They may or may not be straight. Just can't tell.

Yeah something's not right back there...is it hung up or is laying flat on the ground or what? Granted for $50 it's not a bank breaker but I want to make sure I'm not getting garbage...

I'd love a 3-piece pinstripe kilt suit someday. But I also agree, something's up with those pleats. You have to be just as careful with pinstripe as with tartan, one wrong move and it leaves an obvious mar.

Re : Cheap Pinstripe Kilt on ebay
It's a "Mercy" kilt, designed for the Young Hip/Goth crowd. Basically inexpensive for a reason, their market doen't spend heavy.
Quality looks questionable, but I don't have any personal expierience.

I think the kilt has been stored folded back across the pleats, and simply laid out on a flat surface for the photograph, with no 'preening' to make the pleats straight.
What I think can be seen on the back is the edges of pleats displaced to the left so that stripes on fabric usually covered over are showing.
It might indicate that the pleats are skimpy, or that the cloth is rather flimsy, or that the person doing the photo was simply careless - without seeing the kilt in the cloth it is hard to tell.

I'm definitely leaning towards waiting for TFCK to come to NYC in April and getting mine from them. This is one of those things where I'd like to actually SEE it in person. Had anyone ordered from this eBay store before and can tell us how their product is?

I don't know but they post that it comes with a kilt pin
" IT COMES WITH A KILT PIN HOLDING THE SPLIT ON THE RIGHT SIDE TOGETHER "
Now that is a lot of pining. Guess none of them has worn a kilt. Or they embear-*** easly.
